Your chance to own a piece of history

Owning a handmade quilt handcrafted by female rural artisans from this region which was earlier part of the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC) 7,500 years ago is like holding a timeless piece of history and connecting to a rich culture that existed millennia ago. These handmaking skills have been passed down from generation to generation and are still practiced by few select artisans. Each stitch connects you to a rich cultural heritage, offering a chance to preserve and cherish history in your own home. From the intricate seals, jewelry, pottery, ornaments, standardized weights to textiles, the legacy of IVC endures to this day.

Become part of an elite club

The supply of handmade quilts by artisans from the Indus Valley region is extremely limited. At present, only 150-175 pieces, each for Devi, Bhit and Jashan, are possible to be made each year. This is because these quilts are all handmade in multiple villages by various female artisans working intermittently in addition to their regular house work, taking care of family, working the fields etc. Poor village infrastructure and monsoon season climate issues further restrict production and hence supply. Thus, owning a quilt handmade in this region confers you the rare honor of being part of an exclusive club that extremely few can achieve.

Help to make the world a better place

By buying the quilt you are supporting the underprivileged and marginalized segments of the community such as females, children and minorities in one of the poorest regions of the world. Your purchase empowers skilled women artisans, supporting their livelihoods and preserving traditional crafts. These quilts are more than just art; they are a symbol of resilience, perseverance and creativity, much like the women behind them. This is your chance to make a difference by uplifting communities and fostering sustainable future for these women, children and minorities.
